Uriel-Requena DOP

by Reserve de Don Carlos CA, in collaboration with Cherubino Valsangiacomo, is a single-varietal Bobal red wine from the Utiel-Requena DOP, made from 60-year-old vines. It is carefully aged for 15 months in large new 500-litre French oak barrels, developing depth, structure and finesse. The wine presents a deep cherry red with violet hues. On the nose, it offers an intense bouquet of dark fruits and compote, gently layered with toasted aromas and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, it is juicy, full-bodied and velvety, with a harmonious structure and a long, elegant finish. A powerful yet balanced wine – perfect with beef, lamb, game, poultry, red mullet or fine cheeses.

Don Carlos, Spanish wines with Swiss roots. The history of the bodega dates back to the early 19th century. The ancestors of Carlos Valsangiacomo already produced wine in Ticino in 1831. The understanding of wine is in the family's blood, and today the winery in Valencia is run by the fifth generation. The most advanced cellar technologies allow Don Carlos to produce classic as well as top modern wines from local as well as international varieties.
