The grapes are carefully selected from prime vineyard sites and vinified under controlled temperatures in stainless-steel tanks, with a touch of oak ageing to add roundness and complexity. This gentle approach allows the wine to retain its freshness while gaining texture and aromatic depth.

In the glass, it reveals a brilliant purplish-red hue. The nose is expressive and generous, with aromas of plums, blackberries, and cherries, layered with the spicy character typical of Primitivo. On the palate, it is smooth and fruit-forward, with soft tannins, a silky texture and a harmonious finish that lingers with notes of ripe fruit and gentle spice.

Innovation - Tradition - Vision - Legio Vallis combines all these elements. Inspired by the Romans, who thought far uber their borders and were stationed in Valais with the Legion XII Fulminata (Legio Vallis), Vins et Vignobles Julius furs Valais has planted 4 unconventional grape varieties. These are Arneis, Lagrein, Malbec and Primitivo. The vision of the winery is to create a novel wine with each of these varieties in combination with other grape varieties. Traditional vinification methods are combined with modern ones. The courage to go the extra mile was rewarded with the first wine, Fulminata. A powerful yet elegant Appassimento made from Valais grapes, inspired by the famous Amarone. With the Merlot-Primitivo and Chasselas-Heida-Arneis, two wonderful and sweet everyday wines with an international character were created. Wines for every occasion!
