Controlled fermentation followed by 12 months of maturation in American and French oak barrels. At least six months of bottle aging.
In November 1956, a small group of winemakers from Aldeanueva de Ebro united to form what is now known as Viñedos de Aldeanueva. The excellent climate and the rich soils (pebbles and clay), combined with the knowledge of the winegrowers, resulted in high quality grapes, appreciated for their color and sugar content. These grapes were, and still are, the basis of many aged wines from the legendary Rioja. This quality attracted an enormous demand, which in turn led to an expansion of the cultivated areas to currently 2,600 hectares. The vineyards extend from the riparian regions of the river Ebro to the slopes of Monte Yegra.
