Sissi Passito Mitterberg IGT
Sissi Passito Mitterberg IGT
A noble sweet seducer from the Alps.
The Sissi Passito Mitterberg IGT 2019 from the Merano winery is an exceptional dessert wine from South Tyrol, made from 85% Goldmuskateller and 15% Gewürztraminer. The grapes come from vines up to 20 years old and are dried on straw for around 5 months before being fermented and stored in stainless steel tanks. In the glass, the wine is a rich golden yellow with a greenish tinge. The bouquet is beguiling and multi-layered, with citrus notes, rose petals, apricots and vanilla. On the palate, the Passito is sweet, dense, elegant and long-lasting - an ideal accompaniment to desserts or mature blue cheese.
Kellerei Meran, Marling
From the merger of the traditional wineries Weinkellerei Meran and Bruggräfler Kellerei became the Merano Winery in 2010. This is located in the heart of the Burgraviate, open to the south, protected to the north by the Texel Mountains. Ideal conditions for the many small and micro producers who cultivate an area of 250 hectares with the best vineyards. Strong temperature variations between day and night produce intense, fruity vintages. The wines of the winery are ambassadors of a fertile landscape on the south side of the Alps. The new building of the winery Merano in Marlengo is equipped with the latest technology and also the new wooden barrel and barrique cellar offers optimal conditions to be able to produce top wines.
