Belcampo Merlot Svizzera IGT
Belcampo Merlot
Svizzera IGT
from Cantina Amann SA is a powerful and expressive red wine that captures the elegance and authenticity of Ticino. The grapes come from the sun-drenched vineyards around Contone in Sopraceneri, where Mediterranean warmth meets Alpine freshness.
Made from 100% Merlot, this wine is aged in stainless steel tanks with partial wood contact, resulting in a perfect harmony of fruit intensity and subtle structure. This careful vinification preserves both the freshness and the smooth texture that define Ticino’s signature Merlot style.
In the glass, it reveals a deep ruby red colour with purple hues. The bouquet is harmonious and inviting, with notes of blackberries, blueberries, and plums, complemented by a gentle spiciness and a hint of vanilla.
On the palate, the Belcampo is rich and well-balanced, displaying ripe fruit, round tannins, and an elegant finish that lingers beautifully. The result is a refined yet powerful wine, showcasing both depth and finesse.
The Belcampo Merlot Svizzera IGT is a true expression of Cantina Amann’s winemaking philosophy – a union of passion, precision, and respect for the land.
Perfect with cheese dishes, game, pasta, or risotto, this Merlot also shines on its own. Serve at 16–18°C to enjoy its full aromatic depth and smooth, velvety texture.
Cantina Amann
Contone, Ticino
The vineyards extend uber the sun-exposed slopes in the picturesque Sopraceneri, the northern part of Ticino. Sopraceneri means above Monte Ceneri, the pass that separates the Magadino plain from the Vedeggio valley. With passion, manual work and winemaking art, the small plots are cultivated, always with the attention to the most respectful treatment of nature. Authentic and characterful wines are created here through much passion, professionalism and attention to detail. The varietal Merlots are to the point, full-bodied, round and smooth - palate pleasers from high-quality French barriques. A typical Ticino specialty is the Bianco di Merlot, which is obtained by gentle pressing from the red grape variety Merlot and is becoming increasingly popular.
