Pinot Noir-Lagrein Vin de Pays Suisse
Pinot Noir-Lagrein
Vin de Pays Suisse
from Legio Julius by Vins et Vignobles Julius SA, Salgesch is a fresh, elegant and modern rosé that perfectly captures the spirit of Valais. This refined cuvée of Pinot Noir and Lagrein reveals a harmonious balance between fruit, freshness and finesse.
The grapes are grown in carefully selected vineyards, where sunny Alpine days and cool nights bring out the natural aromatic depth of each variety. After a short maceration, the juice is fermented and matured in stainless steel tanks, preserving the bright fruit and lively freshness that define this wine.
In the glass, it shines with a delicate pale pink hue. The nose is floral and fragrant, with notes of strawberry, cherry and redcurrant, intertwined with a subtle hint of rose petals. On the palate, it is crisp, juicy and inviting, combining soft fruitiness with a refined, balanced structure.
The Pinot Noir-Lagrein rosé is a perfect summer and aperitif wine. It pairs beautifully with salads, antipasti, fish soups or light seafood dishes, yet also shines as a refreshing pleasure on its own.
Lively, charming and elegantly composed, this rosé reflects both the precision of Swiss winemaking and the warmth of Mediterranean character – a wine that celebrates joy and finesse in equal measure.
Legio Julius by Vins et Vignobles Julius
Salgesch, Valais
Innovation - tradition - vision - Legio Vallis combines all these elements. Inspired by the Romans, who thought far beyond their borders and were stationed in Valais with the Legion XII Fulminata (Legio Vallis), Vins et Vignobles Julius has planted 4 unconventional grape varieties for Valais. These are Arneis, Lagrein, Malbec and Primitivo. The winery's vision is to create a new type of wine with each of these varieties in combination with other grape varieties. Traditional and modern vinification methods are combined. The courage to create something out of the ordinary was rewarded with the first wine, Fulminata. A powerful yet elegant Appassimento made from Valais grapes, which was inspired by the famous Amarone. With the Merlot-Primitivo and Chasselas-Heida-Arneis, two wonderful and drinkable everyday wines with an international character were created. Wines for every occasion!
