1884 Malbec Mendoza 150 cl
The 1884 Malbec Mendoza is a characterful red wine from Argentina that unites the typicity of the Malbec grape with the high-altitude vineyards of Mendoza. Produced by the long-established Bodegas Escorihuela Gascón, this wine combines varietal depth with elegant structure and stands for the high quality of Argentine Malbec wines.
Producer: Bodegas Escorihuela Gascón
In 1880, Don Miguel Escorihuela Gascón came to Argentina from his homeland of Aragón in Spain at the age of 19. Four years later he had already managed to buy 42 hectares of land, plant vines and build a winery. Don Miguel and his descendants became famous in Argentina for their outstanding wines and their exceptional achievements. From the very beginning, the bodega's goal was to produce wines of the very highest quality. Great importance is placed on the selection and care of the vines, on craftsmanship in production and on the continuous improvement of technology. In this way, the winery developed into a nationally and internationally recognised company. Escorihuela Gascón is today the oldest still active winery in Mendoza and is considered one of the most influential in all of Argentina.
Mendoza lies at the foot of the Andes and is one of the most important wine regions in South America. The high-altitude vineyards, with their warm days and cool nights, create ideal conditions for the Malbec grape, which here produces deeply coloured, aromatic and well-balanced red wines.
