Vins et Vignobles Les Tourelles – Lavaux wines from Puidoux

Vins et Vignobles Les Tourelles is located in Puidoux, in the heart of Lavaux, one of Switzerland’s most defining wine regions. The terraced vineyards along Lake Geneva have been part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2007 and stand for a long winemaking tradition that is particularly closely linked to the Chasselas grape variety. The estate lies directly beside the Tour de Marsens, one of the oldest buildings in Lavaux. The vineyards around this historic site were already cultivated centuries ago. Today, wines are produced here that reflect the different appellations of Lavaux in a clear and precise way – from Epesses and St. Saphorin to Dézaley Grand Cru.

Lavaux: terraces, Lake Geneva and Chasselas

Lavaux stretches along the northern shore of Lake Geneva between Lausanne and Montreux. The steep terraced vineyards benefit from a special interplay of direct sunlight, reflection from the lake and the heat stored by the dry-stone walls. These conditions support slow grape ripening and shape the wines with freshness, minerality and fine structure. At the heart of Lavaux is Chasselas. Here, the grape variety shows a particularly clear sense of origin and responds sensitively to soil, exposure and microclimate. Les Tourelles uses this diversity to produce single-varietal wines that make the character of their respective appellation clearly visible.

Chasselas from Epesses, St. Saphorin and Dézaley

The white wines of Les Tourelles show three different expressions of Lavaux Chasselas. Epesses blanc Lavaux AOC appears fresh, mineral and balanced, with lime, gooseberry, Golden Delicious apple and fine floral notes. On the palate, it shows roundness, structure and a harmonious finish.

St. Saphorin Lavaux AOC stands for a fruity-floral style with yellow stone fruit, pleasant acidity and a smooth texture. It combines the lightness of a classic white wine from Vaud with substantial expression.

Dézaley Grand Cru AOC shows the more powerful and structured side of Chasselas. This Grand Cru site produces a full-bodied wine with honey, white flowers, lime, gooseberry, flint and fresh bread. Its finely balanced fruit-acidity structure and long finish make it a particularly characterful representative of Lavaux.

Red wines from Vaud

Alongside Chasselas, the Les Tourelles range also includes red wines from Vaud. Epesses rouge Lavaux AOC is an assemblage of Pinot Noir and Gamaret. Pinot Noir brings elegance and finesse, while Gamaret adds colour, fruit intensity and structure. The result is a fruity, harmonious red wine with wild berries, liquorice, silky texture and well-integrated tannins.

Les Tourelles Black Label Vin de Pays Suisse shows a modern, fruit-driven side of red wine from Vaud. The assemblage of red grape varieties is aged in INOX stainless steel tanks, keeping freshness and berry aromatics at the forefront. Raspberries, cherries and blackberries define a balanced, approachable style.
