The terraced vineyards, the proximity to the lake and the double sunlight typical of Lavaux give this white wine from the canton of Vaud clarity, freshness and a smooth texture. A classic Chasselas from St. Saphorin that combines lightness and substance in a balanced way.
Producer: Vins et Vignobles Les Tourelles, Puidoux
The Vins et Vignobles Les Tourelles estate is located in the heart of Lavaux, directly next to the Tour de Marsens. Chasselas is the most important grape variety in this UNESCO-protected World Heritage Site, and in this region the variety reaches its highest quality and most distinctive character. The Tour de Marsens is the oldest building in Lavaux, built in 1160. The vineyards around the tower were established and cultivated by monks more than 850 years ago. The vineyard sites benefit from the double sunlight from sky and lake, as well as from the heat-retaining walls. Les Tourelles produces single-varietal wines that give each appellation its own personal note and specific character.
