from Castello di Bolgheri is a pure Cabernet Franc that embodies the elegance, depth, and power of the Bolgheri terroir. Grown on mineral-rich soils near Castagneto Carducci, the vines border the prestigious estates of Ornellaia, Sassicaia, and Guado al Tasso.
Under the direction of Federico Zileri and the expertise of Alessandro Dondi, the estate produces only in outstanding vintages – a testament to their unwavering commitment to quality.
After 18 months of maturation in oak barrels, the wine reveals a deep cherry-red colour and an expressive bouquet of dark cherries, blueberries, cloves, black pepper, and subtle vanilla.
On the palate, Barinca is both refined and powerful, with finely structured tannins, balanced minerality, and remarkable length. The texture is dense yet elegant, revealing the precision and grace typical of great Bolgheri wines.
Perfectly suited to roasted lamb with rosemary, Boeuf Bourguignon, game dishes, grilled meats, or aged cheeses.
