Montagne Saint-Émilion AOC
Montagne Saint-Émilion AOC
The Montagne Saint-Émilion AOC from Château Coucy is a classic Bordeaux red wine offered in an elegant 150 cl magnum bottle. Certified with the “Haute Valeur Environnementale” label, it reflects a high level of environmental responsibility in viticulture. Made from 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, the wine is aged in French oak barrels and reveals a refined garnet red colour with ruby highlights. On the nose, aromas of red berries are joined by delicate vanilla and liquorice notestypical of Merlot. The palate is smooth and well-structured with soft tannins and excellent balance. Hints of spices, roses and cherries add complexity. A perfect match for red meats, game or aged cheeses.
Château Coucy
Montagne, Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux
Chateau Coucy is one of the oldest wineries in the Montagne Saint-Emilion appellation. From generation to generation, the methodology used by the Chateau has been optimized. The 20 hectares of vineyards benefit from their southern exposure and their soil composition of clay and limestone. The exceptionally old vines, the consistent canopy management (a special cultivation method of the vines taking into account strictly scientific points of view) and the often underestimated winter work during the vegetation break, are other factors that contribute to the quality of this wine. The grapes are harvested strictly by hand and transported in small containers of maximum 20 kilos to the winery for further processing. Later, the grapes are carefully vinified into a unique blend, from the typical grape varieties of the region, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Chateau Coucy - a high quality Bordeaux with character.
