Producer: Cantina Sampietrana, San Pietro Vernotico
Faithful to tradition, yet always in step with the times. Cantina Sociale Sampietrana was founded in 1952 through the union of passionate and motivated winegrowers in and around San Pietro Vernotico, a small historic town between Brindisi and Lecce. The winegrowing families shared the vision of transforming their sun-drenched grapes into aromatic wines and bringing them directly to the market. By joining forces, they created a winery that has always moved with the times. Today, thanks to their high production standards, their quality philosophy and their innovative, technologically well-equipped cellars, flavourful wines are produced from southern Italian classics such as Primitivo, Negroamaro and Susumaniello. These characterful southern Italian wines reflect the diversity of the terroir and the Mediterranean influence of the region.
