Reserva Branco Douro DOC 75 cl
Reserva Branco Douro DOC from Quinta dos Avidagos is a Portuguese white wine from the Douro, vinified from Gouveio and Viosinho. These two indigenous grape varieties stand for a clear, structured white wine style with yellow fruit, freshness and a fine, creamy texture. The wine is fermented under temperature control and aged for 6 months in French oak barriques. In the glass, it shows a pale lemon-yellow colour. On the nose, it reveals a fruity bouquet with ripe apricot and peach, complemented by fine toasted notes. On the palate, it is fresh and balanced, with pleasant acidity, yellow fruit, green apple, pear and citrus notes.
Producer: Quinta dos Avidagos
Quinta dos Avidagos is located in the Douro region of Portugal, near Santa Marta de Penaguião. The estate is family-owned and has a long tradition of viticulture. The family’s history is closely linked to several quintas in the Douro, whose sites are shaped by steep slopes, schist and granite soils, and the River Douro. In the past, the grapes were traditionally sold to Port houses before the estate began developing its own wine production in 1996. Today, Quinta dos Avidagos combines several Douro sites with modern cellar technology and traditional elements such as working with granite lagares. The focus is on wines made from indigenous Portuguese grape varieties that combine fruit, structure and expression of origin.
