In 1858, the Ducourt family settled on an estate in the hamlet of Le Hourc, in the commune of Ladaux, a small idyllic village in Entre-Deux-Mers southeast of Bordeaux. The winegrowing area Entre-Deux-Mers, literally “between two seas”, takes its name from the two rivers that border the region: the Garonne and the Dordogne. Château de Beauregard is a historic property acquired by the family in 1973.
