Falorni Sangiovese Toscana IGT 75 cl
Falorni Sangiovese Toscana IGT is a Tuscan red wine that expresses classic Sangiovese character through clear fruit, gentle spice and structured tannins. Temperature-controlled fermentation followed by ageing in oak barriques gives the wine definition and depth – a well-balanced companion to hearty dishes and Italian cuisine.
Producer: Agricole Selvi, Barberino Tavarnelle
Agricole Selvi was founded in 2006 and taken over by Andrea Falorni in 2012. The Falorni family has been dedicated to viticulture with passion for four generations. Combining modern technology, professionalism and long-standing experience, the estate produces high-quality, approachable wines, including a Sangiovese made using the traditional “Governo all’uso Toscano” method.
This so-called “Governo method” is an ancient Tuscan cellar technique involving a second fermentation. After harvest, part of the grapes is dried before vinification to achieve greater extraction. This technique adds fullness and softness to the wine. Dating back to the Middle Ages, the Governo method is now rarely used, making Falorni’s wines a distinctive specialty.
