SUD Primitivo di Manduria DOP 75 cl
SUD Primitivo di Manduria DOP by Cantine San Marzano is a characterful red wine from the Manduria area in Apulia. Made as a single-varietal wine from 100% Primitivo, it shows an intense ruby red colour with violet reflections in the glass. The moderate ageing in French oak barriques gives the wine structure and complements its fruity aromatic profile.
Producer: Cantine San Marzano
In 1962, 19 winegrowing families joined forces and craftsmanship to found Cantine San Marzano. Wines from a unique region – we are in Apulia, a strip of land between two seas, the Ionian and the Adriatic, estates and landscapes in the provinces of Taranto and Brindisi, where vines and olive trees grow side by side on the typical red soil. The Mediterranean terroir plays a fundamental role in the production of these high-quality and modern wines. The climate is extreme and the conditions are challenging. With the passion of the winegrowers of Cantine San Marzano, the grapes are vinified into full-bodied and elegant wines. The wines are the best example that good quality and an attractive price do not have to be mutually exclusive. The Talò line, as well as the SUD line, convinces with Southern Italian temperament and Mediterranean flair. Typical grape varieties such as Negroamaro, Primitivo and Malvasia Nera seduce with dark-fruited to jammy notes. Black cherries, plums and damsons reflect the sunny region. A lot of wine for little money; thanks to their powerful, pleasant and gentle characters, they are the perfect everyday wines.
