Scheurebe Graubünden AOC
Maienfeld Scheurebe
Graubünden AOC
from Komminoth Weine, Maienfeld, is a rare gem from the Bündner Herrschaft – a white wine full of aromatic finesse and alpine freshness. The vines thrive on sunny slopes and cool mountain breezes, creating an ideal balance between fruit ripeness and lively acidity.
Fermented under temperature control and matured in stainless steel, this wine retains its pure, vibrant character. In the glass, it shines a bright straw yellow with subtle green reflections, hinting at its crisp and expressive style.
The bouquet is captivating and fresh, revealing aromas of lychee, lime, and pink grapefruit, intertwined with a delicate floral tone. These exotic notes define the wine’s personality: playful yet refined.
On the palate, the Scheurebe displays liveliness and charm. Its fine, crisp acidity balances the fruit sweetness, leading to a juicy and refreshing mouthfeel. Gentle citrus and tropical nuances linger on the finish, which is aromatic, clean, and persistent.
This Scheurebe pairs beautifully with terrines, melon with prosciutto, poultry, veal, fish, mild cheeses, asparagus dishes, or even light desserts. Served at 10–12 °C, it reveals its full aromatic expression.
A distinctive Swiss white wine that combines character, freshness, and elegance – crafted with care by Paul Komminoth in Maienfeld.
Komminoth Weine
Maienfeld, Graubünden
Ever since the Komminoth family made their first wine in Maienfeld in 1980, their enthusiasm for wines from the Bündner Herrschaft region has been unbroken. From year to year, the quality of the wines has been developed with great passion. Komminoth is now one of the best addresses in the Bündner Herrschaft region. Today, around 4.6 hectares of vineyards are cultivated. Paul Komminoth says about his wines and cultivation philosophy: “I have been looking for my own line right from the start. I vinify my vineyards separately and try to make full-bodied, robust wines that can also mature. Every year has its own face, I want to get the best out of each one, with manual work, respect for nature, an intensive relationship with the vines and preservation of the healthy soil.” With Lindorna Bella, Paul Komminoth proves that he is open to modern and innovative ideas.
