Producer: Komminoth Weine, Maienfeld
Since the Komminoth family vinified their first own wine in Maienfeld in 1980, their passion for wines from the Bündner Herrschaft has remained undiminished. Year after year, the quality of the wines has been further developed with great dedication. Today, Komminoth is counted among the best addresses in the Bündner Herrschaft. Around 4.6 hectares of vineyards are currently cultivated. Paul Komminoth says of his wines and his philosophy of viticulture: “From the very beginning, I have sought my own path. I vinify my individual vineyard sites separately and try to make substantial, robust wines that can also age. Every year has its own face, and from each one I want to draw out the optimum, with manual work, respect for nature, an intensive relationship with the vines, and the preservation of healthy soils.”
