Herdade dos Coteis Reserva Vinho Regional Alentejano 75 cl
Herdade dos Coteis Reserva Vinho Regional Alentejano is a Portuguese red wine from the Alentejo, vinified from Touriga Nacional and Syrah. The cuvée combines the structure and dark fruit of the Portuguese grape variety Touriga Nacional with the spice and fullness of Syrah. The grapes come from Herdade dos Coteis’ own vineyards near Moura, on the left bank of the Guadiana. Following temperature-controlled fermentation, the wine matures for 10 months in French and American oak barriques. In the glass, it shows a deep garnet-red colour. On the nose, intense notes of ripe berries and fruits such as blackcurrants, blackberries, cherries and plums unfold. On the palate, it is full-bodied and balanced, with pleasantly integrated tannins, ripe fruit and fine toasted aromas.
Producer: Herdade dos Coteis
Herdade dos Coteis is located in southern Portugal in the Alentejo, near Moura on the left bank of the River Guadiana. The estate, run by the Venâncio family, comprises more than 300 hectares of olive groves and 23 hectares of vineyards. The Alentejo landscape is characterised by broad plains, gentle hills, vineyards, olive trees and cork oak groves.
Indigenous grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet and Arinto grow in the vineyards alongside international varieties such as Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc. Only estate-grown grapes are used for the production of the wines. The wines of Herdade dos Coteis show a clear Alentejo style with ripe fruit, fullness, spice and a distinct regional character.
