Shotwell Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles AVA
Shotwell Cabernet Sauvignon
Paso Robles AVA
The Shotwell Cabernet Sauvignon from Jerry Lohr Winery is a refined expression of Paso Robles terroir – rich, elegant and impeccably balanced. Grown in prime vineyard sites, the Cabernet grapes benefit from warm days and cool nights, producing depth and aromatic complexity.
Aged for 20 months in French oak barrels, with 20% new oak, this wine combines structure with sophistication. In the glass, it reveals a deep ruby hue and captivating brilliance.
The bouquet unfolds with black cherry, cassis, blackberry and plum, followed by subtle notes of vanilla, caramel, dark chocolate and cedarwood. On the palate, it is juicy, full-bodied and velvety, with fine tannins and a beautifully harmonious texture. The finish is long and elegant, marked by depth and finesse.
A superb Cabernet Sauvignon with up to 15 years of aging potential, ideal with roast lamb, Boeuf Bourguignon, game, mature cheese or grilled fish.
