Following temperature-controlled fermentation, the wine is aged for around 2 months on the fine lees and then continues to mature in tanks. Pear, honeysuckle and elderflower define the aromatic profile. On the palate, dried apricot and subtle toasted notes combine with bitter almond, freshness and a slightly saline note on the long finish.

Maison Gabriel Meffre was founded in 1936 by Gabriel Meffre and his wife Juliette in Gigondas. The area features different soils with clay and limestone, as well as sites with basaltic components. Alongside wines from various Rhône appellations, the Laurus range also includes selected wines from the south of France.
